About Joshua R. Feffer, M.S., R.G., C.E.G.
Principal, Feffer Geological Consulting, Inc.

Los Angeles native and Feffer Geological Founder Joshua R. Feffer received a bachelor's degree in geological sciences from California State University, Northridge, and a master's in geology from the University of Southern California.

A state-licensed registered geologist and certified engineering geologist with over 17 years of experience, Feffer worked eight years exclusively performing forensic engineering investigations before becoming chief engineering geologist for one of the largest geotechnical companies in southern California. There, he continued performing expert witness services and also directed soil and geological services for both commercial and private developers as well as providing geotechnical review services for several municipalities.

Throughout his investigative career, Feffer has logged exploratory trenches and borings as well as collected representative samples of soils and rocks for laboratory testing. He has developed repair recommendations and engineering cost estimates for a variety of geotechnical and geologic failures, and - through his designation as an expert witness - he has presented findings at expert meetings, mediation proceedings, and at trial.

Professionally, Feffer has served on the State Board of Geology as a member of the Enforcement and Oversight Committee and remains active with the Association of Engineering Geologists and the American Society of Civil Engineers where he currently serves as Public Relations Committee Chairman.

Philanthropically, Feffer serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation, is an active member of the American Jewish University Moriah Society, and is a sponsor of the Harold Robinson Foundation which serves underprivileged youth in the inner city.
